About Us

  • The Start

LaddersUp is a charitable organisation established in 2020 in response to the housing crisis in our community and surrounding region. Our first clients affirmed our leaning towards a service that strengthens the person, rather than simply finding a place to stay. This approach builds a person within a supportive network and makes any housing solution more sustainable.

  • Our Values

Respect for every individual - we listen, encourage, and enable. We create the opportunity for each person to find their own ladders up.

Local networks are important to us. We encounter people at different points on their life journey, so we join up with those who will link them in with us, and with those who will support them along the way.

Hardship comes in many forms - relational, financial, spiritual, practical. We must be prepared to match our support to the felt need.

  • He Tangata

‘He Tangata’ means ‘The People’. We are usually speaking of those we serve when use this term, but let’s for a moment talk about our team.

Our advisory board share the values and live locally. We have strong connections across local churches and other community groups.

At LaddersUp we draw on the strength of local networks and back everything we do in prayer.
